Returns and Refunds

Last updated: September 2026

At Edna Lovita, we want you to feel confident when you shop with us. Every order is packed with care, and we aim to provide products that match their descriptions and photographs as closely as reasonably possible.

If there is a problem with your order, please contact us so that we can help.

1. Damaged, defective or incorrect items

Please inspect your order when it arrives.

If you receive:

  • an item that is damaged;
  • a defective item;
  • an item that is materially different from what you ordered; or
  • an incorrect item,

please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after receiving your order.

Please include your order number and clear photographs of the item and packaging where relevant. This allows us to assess the issue and determine the appropriate remedy.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act.

2. Defective or unsafe products

Edna Lovita recognises the statutory rights of consumers under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

Where goods are defective, unsafe or fail to meet the applicable requirements of the Act, you may have the right to return the goods within six months of delivery and, depending on the circumstances, request a repair, replacement or refund.

Where a return is accepted under your statutory consumer rights, we will advise you of the appropriate return process.

3. Items damaged during delivery

If your item appears to have been damaged during delivery, please contact us as soon as possible with photographs of:

  • the item;
  • the packaging;
  • any visible damage to the parcel; and
  • the delivery label, where applicable.

Please do not throw away the packaging until we have advised you whether it is required for the investigation.

We will assess the matter and work with the relevant delivery service where necessary.

4. Incorrect item received

If we have sent you the wrong item, please contact us before returning it.

We will arrange the appropriate remedy, which may include sending the correct item or providing a refund, depending on availability and the circumstances.

5. Change-of-mind returns

Edna Lovita does not offer automatic returns simply because a customer has changed their mind, selected the wrong item, or no longer wants the product.

However, if you have a concern about your purchase, please contact us. We will consider your request fairly and explain what options may be available.

This does not affect any statutory right you may have under applicable consumer law.

6. Items that have been worn or used

For hygiene, quality-control and product-assessment reasons, we may not accept a discretionary return of an item that has been worn, used, altered or damaged after delivery.

This does not remove or limit your statutory rights where an item is defective, unsafe or otherwise qualifies for a remedy under applicable law.

7. Refunds

Where a refund is approved, the refund will generally be made using the original payment method where reasonably possible.

Processing times may depend on the payment provider or financial institution.

We will communicate with you regarding the status of your refund.

8. Sale items and promotional items

Sale, promotional or discounted items are still covered by applicable consumer rights.

A discounted price does not remove a customer's statutory rights in respect of defective, unsafe or incorrectly supplied goods.

Additional promotional terms may apply where these are clearly communicated at the time of purchase.

9. How to request assistance

To report a problem with your order, please contact Edna Lovita using the contact details provided on our website.

Please include:

  • your name;
  • order number;
  • description of the issue; and
  • photographs where relevant.

We will review the matter and advise you of the next steps.

10. Our commitment

We want to resolve genuine product problems reasonably and fairly.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African consumer law.
